Tips for killing
- Layout: wear attracting gear in a non-CPK fight room beside a heal / high-regen room — spawns land in the fight room where the amulet ticked, not the safe side.
- Where you farm is up to you — there is no one canonical route. Archons use whatever safe + fight pair they have access to, for example:
- Private's Cove — the safe room, with one room west as the fight room (some players)
- Clan or alliance halls — heal / high-regen room ↔ adjacent fight room
- Any other private pit, hall, or zone setup that matches the same pattern
- Avoid CPK fight rooms unless you accept Master rolls.
- Do not wear an Ithrix amulet in CPK unless your group is ready for a category-5 Master.
Resistances and demon types
Resistances and buffs vary by demon name — no single rotation fits every hunter. What works on one spawn may fail on the next; verify gear and spells for that name in-game.
- Ethereal (
eth) hunters — some spawns arrive in ethereal form and are awkward until it is stripped. Common fixes: wear Redemption from the Darkness (wrist proc) or another dispel-on-hit weapon. Redemption can fail to proc on some pulls; keep a backup dispel option. - Other archetypes — some hunters are weapon-immune, no-magic, or summoner-style. There is no one-size-fits-all loadout;
identify/lookthe hunter when you can.
Room prep (fight room)
Before an amulet tick, prep your fight room — layer area spells there, engage, then step back to your heal / high-regen room. Which spells you can cast depends on class, race, and master-religion; there is no one list for every archon. look once to see room tags; re-casting a layer that is already active can drop it.
Room layers (area affects — check [tags] on look)
| Layer | Usual command | Room tag (from look) |
|---|---|---|
| Nullification field | null / c null |
[nullification field] |
| Illumination | c ill |
[illumination] |
| Cursed fog | cast 'cursed fog' |
[cursed fog] |
| Thunderstorm | cast 'thunderstorm' |
[thunderstorm] |
These four are common room layers; many archons also run other area layers if their spellbook allows (see help dispel area / religious spell lists).
Self buffs (no room tag — often in heal room or just before you step out)
| Buff | Usual command | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning shroud | cast 'lightning shroud' (ls) |
Self defensive shield; common before hunter pulls |
| Bathe | cast bathe |
Ithrilis master-religion; heal over time (less effective in combat) |
| Grace of Ithrilis | cast 'grace of ithrilis' |
Ithrilis; HP regen over time |
Spell-up in the heal / high-regen room (spell shield, glacierskin, phalanx, sensory enhancement, etc.) is separate from fight-room layering — run what your class needs before you step into the fight room.
Minions (toy soldier, toy wizard, toy shaman)
Extra bodies to bash the hunter and soak swings. Each summon … spell consumes a toy from inventory (often stocked in Vandemaar's Trunk alongside hunter tokens):
| Toy item | Command | Summoned form |
|---|---|---|
| an iron toy soldier | summon soldier / plan 'summon soldier' |
soldier in a blue and grey uniform |
| an iron toy wizard | cast 'summon wizard' |
a wizard in a blue cloak and grey hat (casts at enemies) |
| an iron toy shaman | cast 'summon shaman' |
a shaman in a blue robe with a grey sash (fights and occasionally heals) |
help summon soldier, help summon wizard, and help summon shaman for class gates and cooldowns. Dismiss with a fistbump when done (wizard/shaman per help text).
Pets may not follow you into some heal / no-follow rooms (… tries to follow you, but a strange force blocks his passage. when you step back to regen).

Hunter Masters — summon on demand
Item: a sparkling crystal egg (level 241, archon). Drops from master kills (group/clan roll); stockpile in your stash for a planned summon.
Lore (examine egg):
Rumors abound that these eggs can, in fact, be used to summon Archon Hunter Masters. Perhaps if you took it to an Archon trainer they might be able to tell you more about it.
No trainer required for the summon itself:
- Carry one of each archon hunter token type in inventory (game consumes six; message:
Six archon hunter tokens flare and vanish from your inventory.). hold egg(left hand).use eggin the room where you want the fight.
Success:
A sparkling crystal egg glows with a brilliant, pulsing crimson light and seems to lurch in your hand.
Six archon hunter tokens flare and vanish from your inventory.
A sparkling crystal egg shatters into a thousand pieces!
A rift appears in time and space, glowing brilliantly!
Gusion, the Archon Hunter Master steps through the rift…
Failure (missing token types): A sparkling crystal egg glows with a dull crimson light, but nothing else happens.
