Description
A gastropod is a soft-bodied creature that moves using a muscular foot. Most have a coiled shell, though slugs do not. They feed with a rasping tongue called a radula, scraping plants, algae, or prey. Found on land, in rivers, and in the sea, gastropods are slow but highly adaptable.
