the tourmaline duke — one of the mad overlord's earliest designs, created by gnomish engineers to excavate the surface for tourmalines.
Description
Early in the Mad Overlord's reign, he commissioned gnome engineers to build tourmaline dukes, autonomous devices named that due to the alacrity with which they could find and obtain tourmalines. Most of these machines were sabotaged by the slaves of the island, but it is rumored that one still remains active.
