Pirate's Cove is a bustling and seedy wharf town located on the coast of Treasure Bay on the continent of Beltane. The town was founded by Captain Bonebeard, who unsuccessfully tried to become the town's mayor. Today, the town is ruled by Baron Rothchild, a descendant of the infamous Graybeard, who was known to be politically weak but cares for his people. Although Pirate's Cove is slowly being consumed by the marshlands of Beltane, newer parts of the town remain treacherous for other reasons. The Black Thunder Tavern is a notorious pub known for its illegal dealings and watered-down drinks. It is a hotspot for pirates and adventurers looking to exchange information and rumors. Despite its reputation, Pirate's Cove is also home to famous craftsmen, plentiful (if not sordid) entertainment, and a rich history. The town is full of adventure and danger, and there are hidden treasures to be found for those daring enough to look. Baron Rothchild is currently seeking an adventurer to slay the beast of Treasure Bay, said to guard a dream treasure. He promises a handsome reward for proof of the beast's death. But adventurers should beware, as the waters of Treasure Bay are treacherous, and the beast is rumored to be a formidable opponent.
