Name
xorn blood — pour xorn blood into someone's blood vessels with microscopic portals
Synopsis
cast 'xorn blood' [<target>]
Description
Xorn are nearly omnipresent just underfoot, burrowing through the ground looking for tasty mineral, but are shy and dangerous enough that they are rarely seen. A clever wizard can leverage this fact without ever having to interact with one- simply knowing they are there is sufficient. Ambushing opponents from behind with wriggling, terrified tentacle-faced monsters was a favorite trick of mages in the past, until the technique was refined. The old way was funnier, but teleporting an entire creature is difficult, expensive, and in the best case scenario still leaves the creature around to cause more trouble afterward. At some point, a huaka torturer realized they didn't need the entire xorn- they could simply teleport its pressurized, acidic blood out of the xorn and directly into the target's body. Same horrible death, but requiring fewer astral reagents. As long as the victim's body is full of summoned blood, they will be unable to hematomantically double their spells' affects.
