Description

Sporal germination is the preferred method for most fungi to propagate itself. Fresh, warm corpses that are still moist with fluids are the ideal place for freshly spawned spores to grow. If someone is foolish enough to attempt to sacrifice a corpse that is ripe with growing spores, it will explode in their face.

As long as a corpse is full of growing spores, it will not decay in the standard way, as the fungi keeps its host as fresh as possible for as long as possible while simultaneously fighting off competing parasites.

If a sporefolk's body dies in the room in which their spores are infecting a corpse, upon returning to conscious life they will inhabit a body that has burst from the corpse, rather than in their nearest Recall location. This method of respawning will not work in some areas or types of rooms.
