cast counterspell <target> [<spell>]
Description
This powerful sorcery enables the caster to turn an opponent's magic against them. If the counterspell is timed properly, and takes effect before the opponent finishes casting, there is a chance that it will cause their spell to backfire. In some cases, a wild surge in the magic will occur instead, resulting in an unpredictable occurrence. The success of this effect depends on the level of the caster and their sanity.
If the caster elects to guess which spell they are counterspelling, they may add the name of that spell as an optional argument; if they are correct, the spell has a guaranteed chance of backfiring on the caster with a 50% level boost.
